Allow 90 minutes for writing. Choose either task 1A or 1B, then answer task 2. Dictionaries are allowed; check the current official rules for the dictionaries you may bring.
A practical message
Part 1 gives you a situation and four content points. Decide who you are writing to and why. Cover every point, ask the requested questions and finish appropriately.
A personal email
Part 2 asks you to answer a friend. Reply to both questions and write at least 100 words, excluding your greeting and closing. Add details that help your reader understand your answer.
Before handing it in
Read the task again. Then check verb forms, word order, noun endings and prepositions. Keep the language clear rather than forcing in expressions you would not normally use. Writing needs human assessment; automatic reading points are not a writing grade.
